Mostly these are Pilot Whales and Bottelnose Dolphins, but from around April to July the Sperm Whale is found there too.  Orcas travel by in July and August only, on their way to feed on the tuna caught by Moroccan and Spanish fishermen.</p>

<p>The Portuguese <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.whale-coast.com/goto/Azorean_archipelago/225/1" target="_blank">Azorean archipelago</a> (just a 2 hour flight from the mainland) is a key European location for whale watching, with a variety of whales and dolphins: one can observe Humpback, Sei, Fin and Blue Whales, as well as Short Finned Pilot Whales and Sperm Whales.  The best time is May and June when the whales migrate to their summer feeding grounds.</p>

<p>The Isle of Mull lies in the Inner Hebrides, the rugged West coast of Britain. In summer it&#8217;s the Minke Whale that is enjoyed in these waters, but there&#8217;s also harbour porpoises, dolphins, seals, basking sharks, sunfish, and a variety of seabirds.  <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.whale-coast.com/goto/Responsible_Travel/222/1" target="_blank">Responsible Travel</a> offer a variety of cruises, starting with a weekend explorer tour (3 days).  Boat trips run from Tobermory, on Mull’s north coast.</p>
<p>Day cruises are also offered.</p>
